Craighouse is a 52-acre, £100m development comprising 145 townhouses, penthouses, duplexes and apartments on a historic site in Edinburgh. Setting out to create one of the city’s most sought-after addresses, we are blending old and new architecture in a spectacular landscaped setting offering unrivalled panoramic views.
Craighouse is setting new standards for Category A listed conversions, within the city and beyond. We’re sympathetically restoring each building and its unique features to its original grandeur, whilst blending seamlessly with luxury, contemporary interiors.
As the UK’s leading conversion developer, we have a proven track record in designing new build luxury apartments that sit seamlessly alongside historic luxury Conversions.
New Craig is the largest and most iconic building on the site. The centrepiece of New Craig is the Great Hall, which was built in the Baronial style to provide an exceptional social space. This spectacular hall will be preserved for the exclusive use of New Craig residents.
The oldest building on the site is Old Craig. This 16th century house has been home to a number of distinguished figures over the years, including one of Edinburgh’s wealthiest families, the Dicks of the Hermitage of Braid. In 1861, it was bought by the historian, Dr John Hill Burton, who used the house to contain his library of over 10,000 books.
Burton is one of our most prominent new builds and is named after the pioneering 19th century engineer, William Kinnimond Burton, who has a memorial dedicated to him at Craighouse.
This rich history, combined with open lawns, woodland walks, awe-inspiring views and a location that’s right on the doorstep of the city, makes this undeniably one of the most unique and special locations to live in Edinburgh.
