The Team

Quartermile is a joint venture between Gladedale Group and Bank of Scotland. The development is managed by Gladedale Capital, a company specialising in large, mixed-use and regeneration schemes.

With extensive experience in schemes of this nature, both partners have the resources and reputations that are demanded by such a unique and important development.

Foster and Partners, one of the world’s leading architectural practices, is leading the design team responsible for the transformation of Edinburgh's Quartermile.

Gladedale Capital

Gladedale Capital is the mixed-use and commercial arm of the Gladedale Group. As such, we’re backed by the resources of a major UK housebuilder, averaging 3,000 residential units per annum.

Gladedale is one of the fastest growing private companies in the UK and the company is focusing on a strategy to establish itself as one the UK's principal house builders and developers.

Bank of Scotland - Corporate

Bank of Scotland Corporate is a part of HBOS plc and has a reputation for excellence in the provision of corporate finance, delivering innovative funding solutions across a range of markets.

With experience across many areas of corporate finance, including specialist teams covering Joint Ventures, Integrated Finance, Structured Property Finance, Infrastructure Finance and Housing Finance, Bank of Scotland can draw on an expert pool of professionals with proven track records.

Bank of Scotland provides funding to more Management Buy-Outs than any other bank in both the UK and Europe and is now recognised as the top arranger for PFI/PPP deals.

Foster and Partners - architects and designers

An international studio for architecture, planning and design led by Norman Foster and a group of Senior Partners.

Established as Foster Associates in 1967 the practice, now known as Foster and Partners, has project offices world wide with its main studio in London.

The practice has worked in 48 countries and currently has projects across 22 countries.

The studio has established an international reputation with buildings such as the Swiss Re Headquarters in London, the new German Parliament in the Reichstag, Berlin, The Great Court for the British Museum, and residential, projects such as Albion Riverside in London.

Local architects involved in this exciting project include CDA and Richard Murphy Architects.

The company has a national operation specialising in core areas including new build, city regeneration, historical restoration and refurbishment projects.

The group builds a complete spectrum of property types and values.
