We are pleased to announce the completion of a major revamp of the main pathway through the Meadows.The £300,000 revamp funded by Gladedale Capital has seen major improvements to the busy junction between middle meadow walk, north meadow walk and jawbone walk in addition to the re-surfacing at the northern part of middle meadow walk.The walkway borders the 19 acre development, which is now establishing itself as a prime destination for residential and commercial property. The development is well on its way to delivering its second flagship office building and now has over 150 new apartments occupied. Colin MacPherson, Development Director, Quartermile commented: “Quartermile will deliver significant new elements of its masterplan during 2009 and we are keen to ensure the project brings benefits to its wider environment as well. “This section of middle meadow walk is a busy thoroughfare for pedestrians and cyclists and so the improvements will be of great benefit to many of its regular users. We thank everyone for their patience while this work was completed.” Next week Edinburgh University will also be planting trees along the wall to enhance the area following the completion of the extension to its building.
